Case Study: Woodbridge
Our client has an extended cottage abutting the bank of the river Deben near Woodbridge, Suffolk in an area of outstanding natural beauty, with fine river views, but in an exposed position which suffers from strong wind and rain.
The existing windows were of an inferior quality, and the original box sash windows had long ago been removed.
In this instance the client required a window with the aesthetics of a traditional flush casement window but equaling the performance of a modern, stormproof window to the extended part and traditional vertical sliding windows to the original part of the property.
The result is appealing to the eye, with its “A” rating, easy on the environment and with its 10 year paint warranty easy on the maintenance budget.
All of our window installations are installed to the Glass and Glazing Federation installation guidelines and inspected by building control officers to comply with current standards.
