A superb Georgian home in Suffolk had inappropriate and unsympathetic pvc-u windows installed previously and the homeowner approached Excell to try to bring back some of the original romance to the facade of this beautiful building.
Our client loved the idea of having the house name incorporated into the front door somehow, and with the help of George Barnsdale we were able to have the name of the property etched into the glass in the ‘borrowed light’ above the impressive black front door, a door that would not look out of place on any house in the capital. Our client chose the spiral balanced vertical sliding sash windows in standard white with one vertical astragal bar and brass furniture. The full installation took one week to complete, carried out by our team of highly skilled Master Carpenters.
The result is a stunning facade to this fine old building equalling that of any of its peers, with a minimum of maintenance, “A” rated windows with enhanced thermal efficiency and warranties of up to 30 years.
