Many heritage properties are either listed or in conservation areas. That means they're often subject to rigorous restrictions relating to replacement of doors or windows, which must be sympathetic to the original character of the building and manufactured to an approved specification.
Our Historic range has been specially created to provide products which conform to the design values of timber windows and doors commonly fitted to properties in previous centuries. Features include a wide selection of classic profiles, including slimline frame and sash options.
Glazing is a key issue in heritage windows and doors. The Historic range features high-performance glazing systems supported by long-term guarantees. Traditional single glazing is not the only option. Our manufacturer's research and development team has worked closely with planning authorities and conservation officers to design a range of approved double glazing options.
While having an authentic heritage look and feel, our 'Historic' windows and doors retain most of the high-performance features of our main range, such as double draught seals for advanced weather proofing.
